FinTech is playing a critical role in advancing Qatar’s strategic vision of a diversified, inclusive, and knowledge-based economy. As outlined in the Qatar National Vision 2030, the nation aspires to foster human, economic, and social development while maintaining cultural identity and long-term sustainability.

This research project directly contributes to these national goals by:

• Provide policy recommendations on the use of FinTech to increase financial access for SMEs in the State of Qatar

• Address a key element of Qatar Vision 2030 of creating an inclusive and technological driven society and economy

• Promoting gender equity and inclusive participation in the digital economy.

• Building national research capacity through collaboration with international institutions.
